Luxury Tour of Southern Thailand

From dramatic limestone formations to quiet beaches and lush jungle, this trip lets you experience Southern Thailand in all its purity and contrasts.

You’ll start at the Andaman Sea, where you’ll immediately discover the iconic bays of Phang Nga. From there, you’ll head inland toward pristine rainforest and one of the country’s most impressive lakes. Continuing along the coast, you’ll arrive in Khanom, where life still follows the rhythm of the sea, and in Phattalung, where wetlands and lotus fields dominate the landscape.

You’ll continue your journey toward Bangkok, partly by night train, and end up in a city that’s bursting with energy and flavors. A journey that surprises with its variety, but above all with the places that haven’t yet been discovered by mass tourism.

Itinerary

  • You'll start in Khao Lak, a peaceful region with long sandy beaches and lush tropical vegetation. The atmosphere is relaxed and intimate, with easy access to some of the most beautiful natural areas in the south.

Early in the morning, you’ll set off on an exclusive island tour through the enchanting Phang Nga Bay, where jagged limestone cliffs rise spectacularly from the sea. Aboard a traditional longtail boat, you’ll cruise past iconic landmarks such as James Bond Island, while enjoying breathtaking views and photo opportunities on the nearby island. Next, you’ll discover Koh Hong and Koh Panak, where you’ll explore hidden caves, lagoons, and mysterious passages on foot and by canoe. Lunch will be served in the floating village of Koh Panyee, where houses, schools, and restaurants are built on stilts above the water, and you’ll also get to know local life.

  • The contrast with the coast is immediately apparent as you enter Khao Sok. Dense jungle, rugged rock formations, and a palpable silence set the scene here.

After a hearty breakfast, you’ll set off on a day trip to the enchanting Cheow Lan Lake, where you’ll glide across the emerald-green waters by longtail boat, surrounded by impressive limestone peaks. The tranquility and sweeping views make this one of the most beautiful nature experiences in southern Thailand.

In the afternoon, you’ll enjoy lunch in a floating raft house with panoramic views. Afterward, there will be time to relax, swim, or kayak in the clear water. If you’d like, you can join the guide on a short hike to a cave or along a nature trail.

  • Khanom offers a glimpse of an authentic side of Thailand that is rarely seen. No large-scale resorts here, just a vast coastline where fishing boats and small villages set the pace.

During a boat tour, you’ll go in search of pink dolphins, a rare species found in these waters. Along the way, you’ll sail past mangrove forests, limestone formations, and small islands.

  • In Phatthalung, life naturally slows down. This region is rarely visited, but it offers one of the most authentic landscapes in southern Thailand.

Early in the morning, you’ll cruise across Lake Thale Noi, a vast wetland and a paradise for birdwatchers. Fog hangs low over the water, fishermen are hauling in their nets, and water buffalo move through the shallow water. Lotus fields color the landscape and attract numerous bird species.

After these peaceful days, you’ll continue your journey in the evening by night train to Hua Hin. As the landscape slowly passes by, you’ll head toward the central part of the country—a different way of traveling that fits perfectly with the rhythm of this route.

  • You’ll arrive in a lush, green setting, where you’ll visit the Wildlife Rescue Center. Here, you’ll meet more than 700 rescued animals, including elephants, monkeys, and bears. Together with your guide, you’ll discover their stories, learn more about the different species, and gain insight into the important work being done here. Around noon, you’ll enjoy a Thai lunch with a view of the elephants roaming freely. Here, respect and natural behavior take center stage, far removed from typical tourist attractions. An experience that feels different and stays with you.

  • The trip ends in Bangkok. In the evening, you’ll explore the lively Chinatown, where Bangkok transforms into a true street food paradise. Together with your guide, you’ll sample authentic Thai-Chinese dishes at various spots, each with its own story and tradition. Between culinary stops, you’ll experience the soul of this historic neighborhood, with its colorful streets, local encounters, and unique energy.

The next day begins at a leisurely pace with a private tour of some of Bangkok’s most iconic sites. In the soft morning light, you’ll admire Wat Arun along the Chao Phraya River, followed by the stately Royal Grounds and Sanam Luang. Afterward, you’ll explore the creative Talad Noi market and enjoy lunch with a view of the river. In the afternoon, unique temples such as Wat Samphran and Wat Paknam Phasi Charoen await, before ending the day with a spectacular 360° panorama from the Mahanakhon Skywalk.

Our highlight from the trip

“Off the coast of Khanom, you sail out onto the sea in complete tranquility. No other boats, no crowds, just the sound of the water. Suddenly, they appear: pink dolphins, rare and almost surreal. A moment you don’t plan for, and that’s exactly why it stays with you as something so special.”
