The next day, after breakfast, you’ll explore Bangkok through its most iconic temples, from the impressive Golden Buddha at Wat Traimit to Wat Pho and the Grand Palace with the Temple of the Emerald Buddha. In the afternoon, you’ll explore the klongs of Thonburi by longtail boat, stopping along the way to visit the Royal Barges Museum and Wat Arun on the banks of the Chao Phraya River.

When you travel to Kanchanaburi, the hustle and bustle of the capital gives way to greenery and tranquility. You’ll visit the Railway Centre, which recounts the region’s history in a respectful and poignant way. This is followed by a boat trip on the River Kwai and a visit to the Mon community. You’ll stay at a floating wooden hotel, a place that feels like a world of its own.

Today, you’ll swap nature for culture. Ayutthaya, the former royal capital of Siam, offers impressive ruins and temples nestled among the rivers and lush greenery. By tuk-tuk, you’ll visit iconic sites such as the Buddha enshrined among tree roots and the Reclining Buddha at Lokayasutharam. The day concludes with a serene meditation session at a monastery and a delicious dinner along the river.

You’ll travel to Sukhothai, the cradle of the Thai kingdom. The historic park feels like an open-air museum, but without the crowds; lakes, rice fields, and ancient stupas alternate along the way.
