Luxury Tour of Marrakech, the Atlas Mountains, and Essaouira
This tour brings together three very different facets of Morocco in a single itinerary. In Marrakech, you’ll wander through a city that thrives on color, scent, and craftsmanship, with riads hidden behind walls and daily life unfolding in souks and courtyards. The Atlas Mountains offer a different setting: green valleys, Berber villages, and open landscapes. Finally, you’ll reach Essaouira, a coastal town with a laid-back vibe, wide beaches, and a medina that invites you to wander.
Itinerary
-
Upon arrival, you will be personally greeted and taken to your hotel in Marrakech. During the first few days, you will explore the city with a private guide: from the Jardin Majorelle and museums to the Koutoubia, Dar El Bacha, and the bustling heart of Jemaa el-Fna. You’ll see how the old and the new coexist here, from traditional workshops to modern neighborhoods.
One of the highlights is the cooking workshop at La Sultana, where you’ll select ingredients together in the medina and then get to work in the kitchen. Later, you’ll explore Marrakech by sidecar—a unique way to see the medina, Gueliz, and the palm grove.
-
You leave the city behind and drive toward the Atlas Mountains. The landscape changes rapidly: reddish-brown villages, green valleys, and snow-capped peaks in the distance. From your hotel, you set out with a local mountain guide for a leisurely hike through the surrounding area.
During the "Confidences Berbères" excursion, you’ll visit remote villages and have lunch with a Berber family. You’ll gain insight into their daily lives, farming practices, and traditions. The rest of the time, you can enjoy the views, the pool, or the tranquility of the mountains.
-
After the Atlas Mountains, you’ll continue on toward the Atlantic coast. Essaouira immediately feels different: more open, fresher, with an artistic spirit. You’ll explore the medina on foot with a guide, passing by the harbor, the city walls, and local studios.
One evening, head to the beach for a horseback or camel ride, followed by a traditional tea ceremony at sunset. With a view of the ocean and the island of Mogador, you’ll end the day as the sky slowly changes color.
-
After breakfast, a private transfer will take you back to the Marrakesh airport. This marks the end of your trip, but you can easily extend your stay with a few extra nights by the sea or elsewhere in Morocco.
