Luxury Tour of Bali and the Islands

This tour takes you to parts of Indonesia where the island remains true to itself. You’ll start in Ubud, surrounded by rice terraces, temples, and villages where daily life unfolds outdoors. Mornings begin with offerings along the roadside, afternoons with walks through lush greenery, and evenings with meals at hidden gems you’d rather keep to yourself than share.

Then you leave the interior behind and follow the coastline. On Lembongan and Nusa Penida, beaches, cliffs, and snorkeling spots alternate. On Gili Asahan, everything unnecessary disappears: no traffic, no crowds—just the beach, the water, and time spent outdoors. You end your trip in Sanur, where the beach and Balinese life coexist peacefully side by side.

Itinerary

  • Upon arrival in Bali, you will be personally greeted and taken to Ubud. Along the way, you’ll see the landscape gradually change: rice terraces, villages, and small temples lining the road. In Ubud, you’ll be staying right in the cultural heart of the island.

Culture comes alive in Ubud. You can stroll through the town, past galleries, boutiques, and cafés, or opt for a guided activity such as a bike tour through the highlands or a walk through the rice fields. Those who prefer to relax will also find their place here: a massage, a traditional lunch, or an afternoon by the pool are all part of the experience.

  • You leave Ubud behind and travel to Sanur, where you take the ferry to Lembongan Island. After about an hour and a half by boat, you arrive on the island and literally step right onto the beach. The atmosphere is intimate and relaxed, with simple roads, beach restaurants, and ocean views. Take a surfing lesson, rent a scooter, and discover idyllic beaches, the iconic yellow pedestrian bridge to Ceningan Island, and the rugged cliffs of Devil’s Tears. Dream Beach lives up to its name, a hidden gem for sun worshippers.

  • After a short boat ride, you’ll arrive at Nusa Penida, an island that’s quite different from Bali and Lembongan. The landscape is more rugged, the villages are simpler, and daily life is less focused on tourism. You’ll be staying close to the harbor and the beach, making it a convenient base for exploring.

You’ll spend time at Crystal Bay, where you can snorkel among colorful fish and, with a bit of luck, spot manta rays or sunfish. Those who prefer to stay on land can visit Goa Giri Putri, an impressive cave temple that opens onto a large prayer hall through a narrow passageway. In the evening, you’ll dine with your feet in the sand at a local warung by the sea.

  • You’ll continue your journey by speedboat to Gili Asahan, a small island off the coast of Lombok. Here, there’s no traffic, no crowds, and no schedule. You’ll stay at a small boutique hotel, surrounded by the beach and palm trees. Your days are open-ended and entirely up to you.

You can snorkel along the house reef, hike around the island, or simply enjoy the sea and sun. In the water, you’ll often spot sea turtles and tropical fish. Your villa offers comfort and privacy, making it easy to retreat whenever you feel like it.

  • You’ll take the ferry back to Bali for the final days of your trip. In Sanur, you’ll stay right on the beach in a seaside resort where you can still experience local life. The promenade is perfect for walks, restaurants are within walking distance, and the sea is calm.

You decide how to spend these days: relaxing on the beach, enjoying spa treatments, taking one last excursion, or participating in a cooking workshop in the area. Sanur is a pleasant place to wrap up this tropical journey.

The highlight of our trip

“What makes island-hopping between these islands so enjoyable is how different they feel, even though the distances are minimal. In just a few short crossings, you move from lively coastlines to rougher wilderness and then to an island where everything remains small-scale and unpretentious. You see how the same sea takes on a different backdrop each time: from dramatic cliffs and snorkeling spots to quiet beaches and coral reefs right on your doorstep.”
