Luxury tour of Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka is not a destination that can be summed up in a single image. The island reveals itself in fragments: a coastline where fishing nets dry in the sun, tea fields that disappear in the morning mist, a safari road where silence is suddenly interrupted by movement. During this honeymoon, you will discover different worlds. The route is deliberately balanced: intense where it can be, gentle where it needs to be. You will stay in places chosen for their location and character, not for their grandeur. An evening in a cave, a morning above the jungle, a lodge where nature and comfort coexist discreetly.

Travel itinerary

  • Upon arrival, you will be personally welcomed and taken to your hotel in Negombo. This first day is entirely devoted to arriving and resting after your flight. You don't have to go anywhere or plan anything: time to rest, get some fresh air, or discover the rhythm of the island.

  • You travel inland, towards the green surroundings of Habarana and Sigiriya. Along the way, you visit a local monastery, where a Buddhist monk blesses you as a couple according to centuries-old tradition. A modest moment, simple but meaningful.

A special experience awaits you in the evening: a private cave dinner, hidden deep in nature. By candlelight, you will enjoy a refined dinner in a place that is normally closed to the public.

The next morning, watch the landscape awaken from above during an optional hot air balloon ride, followed by a visit to the iconic rock fortress of Sigiriya.

  • After visiting the cave temples of Dambulla, you continue your journey towards the hills. The pace noticeably changes. In Kandy, you visit the Temple of the Tooth, a spiritual place that is one of the most important in the country.
You stay higher up in an area where mountains, mist, and greenery set the scene.

  • The route takes you further into the hills, to Hatton, the heart of Sri Lanka's tea region. The landscape opens up into green terraces and misty valleys. You will stay in a historic country house overlooking water and plantations, where the pace naturally slows down.

During your stay, you will gain insight into the heritage of tea production and, above all, have plenty of opportunity to enjoy the surroundings: walks, views, and tranquility.

  • You swap the hills for wildlife in Yala National Park. You can choose to reach your next stop by plane or transfer. In the southeast of the island, where the landscape becomes drier and more rugged, you will stay in a lodge on the edge of the park.

You will go on safari with experienced rangers, both in the morning and in the afternoon, when animals are more active. Elephants, deer, crocodiles, and—with a little luck—leopards are part of this vast area. Between safaris, there is time to relax at the lodge and enjoy the surroundings.

  • You end your trip on the south coast, in Tangalle. Here you will find wide beaches, rugged coastlines, and a relaxed atmosphere. The days are yours to fill as you wish: beach, spa, swimming, or simply doing nothing together. If you wish, you can take a sunset cruise on the lagoon or participate in quiet resort activities.

Our highlight of the trip

"The dinner deep in the caves of Habarana remains without a doubt the most memorable moment of this trip. Not because of luxury in the classic sense, but because of the unique setting between the rock walls, far away from everything."
