During this trip, you’ll create memories that will last a lifetime.

Itinerary

  • Upon arrival at Victoria Falls Airport, you’ll receive a warm welcome and be taken to your lodge on the Zambezi River. During a guided tour of the falls, you’ll see the Zambezi plunge into the Batoka Gorge, where mist and the roar of the water dominate the landscape. Each viewpoint offers a different perspective, depending on the light and water levels.

In the nearby Zambezi National Park, you can explore the area by 4x4 or by boat. Along the river, you’ll see elephants, buffalo, and antelopes, while predators tend to stay in the shade. The combination of safari and river activities offers variety without the need for long drives.

  • After a transfer to Kasane, you’ll board a small plane for a scenic flight to Moremi. From above, you’ll see a landscape where waterways and islands alternate. Once you land, you’ll find yourself in one of the most wildlife-rich areas of Botswana.

Safaris in Moremi are all about observation and timing. You follow tracks in the sand, observe behavior along the water’s edge, and see how predators adapt to their environment. Boat trips through the lagoons offer a more leisurely perspective, with a focus on birds and the finer details of the landscape.

  • You’ll continue on to the Okavango Delta, a unique ecosystem that is constantly changing. The water level determines where you’ll paddle, walk, or drive, and no two days are alike. You’ll glide through shallow channels by mokoro, explore islands on foot, and reach wider waterways by boat.

You’ll be staying in a private concession where various habitats converge: palm-fringed islands, riverine forests, permanent marshes, and dry plains. Safaris are tailored to the conditions at the time, allowing you to follow the rhythm of the delta rather than a set itinerary.

  • After one last morning in the delta, you’ll say goodbye to the guides and the camp team. A short flight will take you to Maun, where your return journey begins.

Our highlight of the trip

“The moment when everything comes together is when you glide through the Okavango Delta by mokoro. Without an engine, moving at the water’s pace, you can hear the landscape come alive: birds overhead, reeds swaying gently, hippos in the distance. After days of safaris on land and along rivers, here you understand how water sets the rhythm of Botswana.”
