Luxury Tour of Sri Lanka
Sri Lanka is not a destination that can be captured in a single image. The island reveals itself in fragments: a coastline where fishing nets dry in the sun, tea fields that fade into the morning mist, a safari trail where silence is suddenly broken by movement. During this honeymoon, you’ll discover different worlds. The itinerary is deliberately balanced: intense where it can be, gentle where it needs to be. You’ll stay in places chosen for their location and character, not for their grandeur. An evening in a cave, a morning above the jungle, a lodge where nature and comfort coexist discreetly.
Itinerary
-
Upon arrival, you’ll be personally greeted and taken to your hotel in Negombo. This first day is all about settling in and resting after your flight. You don’t have to go anywhere or make any plans: it’s time to rest, spend some time outdoors, or get a feel for the island’s rhythm.
-
You’ll travel inland toward the lush countryside of Habarana and Sigiriya. Along the way, you’ll visit a local monastery, where a Buddhist monk will bless you as a couple according to centuries-old tradition. It’s a quiet, intimate moment—simple yet meaningful.
A special experience awaits you in the evening: a private cave dinner, tucked away deep in nature. By candlelight, you’ll enjoy a refined dinner in a place that is normally closed to the public.
The next morning, you’ll watch the landscape come to life from above during an optional hot-air balloon ride, followed by a visit to the iconic rock fortress of Sigiriya.
-
After visiting the cave temples of Dambulla, you’ll continue on toward the hills. You’ll notice the pace changing. In Kandy, you’ll visit the Temple of the Tooth, a spiritual site that ranks among the most important in the country.
You’ll be staying at a higher elevation, surrounded by mountains, mist, and lush greenery. -
The route takes you further into the hills, to Hatton, the heart of Sri Lanka’s tea-growing region. The landscape unfolds into green terraces and misty valleys. You’ll stay in a historic country house with views of the water and plantations, where life naturally slows down.
During your stay, you’ll gain insight into the heritage of tea production, and above all, you’ll have plenty of opportunity to enjoy the surroundings: walks, scenic views, and tranquility.
-
You’ll swap the hills for wildlife in Yala National Park. You can choose to reach your next stop by plane or by transfer. In the southeast of the island, where the landscape becomes drier and more rugged, you’ll stay at a lodge on the edge of the park.
You’ll go on safaris with experienced rangers, both in the morning and in the afternoon, when the animals are most active. Elephants, antelopes, crocodiles, and—with a bit of luck—leopards are all part of this vast area. Between safaris, there’s time to relax at the lodge and enjoy the surroundings.
-
You’ll wrap up your trip on the south coast, in Tangalle. Here you’ll find wide beaches, rugged coastlines, and a relaxed atmosphere. You’re free to spend your days however you like: at the beach, at the spa, swimming, or simply doing nothing together. If you’d like, you can take a sunset cruise on the lagoon or participate in some laid-back resort activities.

Our highlight of the trip
“Dinner deep within the caves of Habarana remains, without a doubt, the most memorable moment of this trip. Not because of luxury in the traditional sense, but because of the unique setting among the rock walls, far away from everything.”
