Private Luxury Tour of Royal Rajasthan

In India, nothing stays the same for long. On this tour through Rajasthan, you’ll discover India at its most generous and surprisingly diverse. You’ll have breakfast amidst the hustle and bustle of city life, later stroll through palaces with endless corridors, and end the day in a landscape that suddenly opens up before you. Colors, scents, and impressions follow one another in rapid succession.

You’ll start in Delhi, where the vibrancy of Old Delhi and the wide boulevards of New Delhi constantly alternate. From there, you’ll head to Agra to see the Taj Mahal, one of the most iconic sites in the world and an absolute highlight of the trip.

Via Jaipur and Jodhpur, you’ll discover the Rajasthan of palaces, markets, and the distinctive Blue City. The scenery then shifts to Jawai, where you’ll go on a safari among granite cliffs and open plains. Udaipur serves as the final stop, with palaces along the water and a more subdued atmosphere, before you return to Delhi.

Itinerary

  • You land in Delhi and are immediately right in the thick of it. In Old Delhi, you find yourself in a maze of narrow streets around the Jama Masjid and Khari Baoli. You weave your way through rickshaws, market stalls, and merchants who have been here for generations. In New Delhi, you stroll past impressive architecture, monuments, and green boulevards. A visit to Gurudwara Bangla Sahib and a heritage walk in Mehrauli add an extra layer of depth to the city. In the evening, you experience Delhi at its finest, with restaurants where classic dishes are given a contemporary twist.

  • You’ll start early at the Taj Mahal, one of the Seven Wonders of the World. In the first light of day, the marble takes on a soft glow and the monument still looks remarkably peaceful—the perfect time for an iconic photo without the crowds.

Next, you’ll visit Agra Fort. You’ll stroll through palace halls and courtyards where the Mughal Empire was once ruled. The scale is impressive, but it’s the details that really stand out.

Later in the day, you’ll visit workshops where marble inlay is still done by hand. You’ll see just how meticulous this work is and how much time goes into each piece.

  • Jaipur welcomes you with color and bustle. It’s a city that comes alive immediately. You’ll explore the Amber Fort, where corridors and courtyards lead one after another, and each level offers a different view (the climb is always worth it). In the city itself, you’ll wander through markets and workshops where hand block printing and other crafts are still practiced daily. You’ll quickly notice that these techniques aren’t just demonstrations here, but simply part of everyday life. At the City Palace in Jaipur and Jantar Mantar, you’ll discover how architecture and science come together here with surprising precision. In the evening, you’ll dine in a historic setting, right in the heart of the city.

  • You can see it right away from a distance: a sea of blue houses stretching out beneath the imposing Mehrangarh Fort. A view that stays with you, even before you enter the city. Once you’re down below, head to the Clock Tower Bazaar. You’ll stroll past stalls selling spices, fabrics, and jewelry, watching artisans still working with traditional techniques (raw, unfiltered, and straight out of daily life). Then you leave the city behind and drive toward the Thar Desert. The contrast could hardly be greater. Open plains, warm hues, and a horizon that stretches endlessly. You end the day with a sundowner and an open-air dinner, right in the middle of the landscape.

  • In Jawai, Rajasthan reveals a completely different side. No palaces, but granite cliffs, open plains, and unexpected silence. You’ll go on a safari with rangers, searching for leopards that roam freely through the landscape. It remains unpredictable, and that’s exactly what makes it so special. Between safari drives, you’ll get to know the Rabari community. You’ll explore their surroundings on foot, by bike, or in a traditional bullock cart and gain insight into their daily lives (simple, yet remarkably pure).

  • On the way to Udaipur, you’ll visit Ranakpur, where marble temples and hundreds of carved pillars create an almost surreal setting. In Udaipur, everything revolves around Lake Pichola. You’ll visit the City Palace of Udaipur and discover workshops where miniature painters still work using traditional techniques. At sunset, you’ll board a private boat and view the city from the water (undoubtedly one of the most beautiful moments of the trip). In the evening, you’ll dine in an intimate, local setting.

  • Back in Delhi, you’ll experience the city one more time, but this time it will be different.

You’ll wrap up the day with dinner at a renowned restaurant where North Indian classics are prepared with precision. One last chance to savor the flavors, aromas, and rhythm of the city before you head home.

Our highlight from the trip

“For me, the magic lies in Jawai. You set off early in the morning in an open jeep, watch the first rays of sun glide over the granite cliffs, and suddenly realize just how unexpectedly wild Rajasthan really is.”
