City trip to Cairo

This intense six-day city trip takes you from the grandeur of the Pharaonic world to the serene beauty of Fayoum. You’ll start in Cairo with the timeless pyramids of Giza, the Sphinx complex, and the magnificent Grand Egyptian Museum. In the evening, immerse yourself in the bustling city life: Cairo by night, street food, a magical dervish spectacle, and a private dinner on a felucca. Next, explore the Egyptian Museum and the Citadel, and sample local specialties during a culinary food tour. Travel via Saqqara and Memphis to the Fayoum oasis, where artisanal potters, sand dunes, waterfalls, and the Wadi Al Hitan fossil valley will enchant you. In short, a journey filled with wonders of the world, authentic encounters, and unforgettable experiences.

 

Itinerary

  • Upon arrival, you’ll receive assistance with obtaining your visa and enjoy a quick and efficient check-in process. Your private driver will then take you to the hotel, where you can check in and relax.

  • You’ll visit the impressive pyramids of Giza, the Sphinx, and the Valley Temple complex, with optional activities such as a tour of the Great Pyramid or a camel ride. After lunch, you’ll explore the Grand Egyptian Museum. In the evening, you’ll discover Cairo by night, attend a whirling dervish show, and enjoy dinner in Downtown.

  • Start your day at the Egyptian Museum, followed by lunch. Afterward, visit the Citadel and the Alabaster Mosque. In the evening, immerse yourself in the local cuisine on a food tour and wrap up the day with a private dinner cruise on a felucca.

  • Travel back in time with a visit to Saqqara and Memphis. Then drive to Fayoum and take a stroll through the charming village of Tunis. Round out the day with a stay at the charming Lazib Inn.

  • Discover the natural beauty of Wadi El Rayan, then visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Wadi Al Hitan, known for its ancient whale fossils. Optional activities such as sandboarding or horseback riding are available. At the end of the day, you’ll return to Cairo.

  • After breakfast, you will be taken to the airport for your return flight.
