Luxury Tour of Southern Spain & Northern Morocco

In Seville, flamenco immediately sets the tone for a journey that follows the cultural threads connecting southern Spain and northern Morocco. You’ll wander through palaces, patios, and historic neighborhoods where Moorish, Jewish, and Christian influences have intertwined for centuries. Along the way, you’ll experience Andalusia at its source: at the Triana market, among the olive oils of Granada, and in the vineyards around Ronda. You’ll drive through the Andalusian countryside yourself, while carefully curated encounters along the way add depth to your journey without losing that spontaneous travel vibe.

Then the scenery changes. Passing through white villages and the Atlantic coast of Cádiz, you’ll reach Tarifa. One ferry ride later, Tangier awaits, with its medina, coastal charm, and international flair. Asilah adds art and the ocean to the mix. Chefchaouen paints the journey blue against the slopes of the Rif Mountains. In Akchour, you’ll hike past waterfalls and rock formations before the route ends on the unspoiled coast near Larache.

For fourteen days, architecture, gastronomy, and landscapes alternate seamlessly. Private guides open doors you would otherwise walk right past. Intimate accommodations lend character to every stop. And the journey across two continents turns this route into a single, seamless, and unique story—from the rhythm of flamenco to the Atlantic horizon.

Itinerary

Upon arrival, a private driver will take you to the historic heart of Seville. That same evening, you’ll get to know the city during a flamenco show, followed by a private tour of tapas bars beloved by the Sevillanos. The next day, you’ll explore the Real Alcázar and the narrow streets of Santa Cruz with an expert guide. Depending on the opening hours, you’ll also visit the cathedral, or the tour will focus on María Luisa Park and Plaza de España.
Your morning begins among the stalls of the Mercado de Triana. Together with a chef, you’ll select ingredients and prepare Spanish classics, which you’ll then, of course, taste yourself. In the afternoon, you’ll pick up your rental car and leave Seville behind. A drive of about two hours will take you to Córdoba.
A private guide will take you on a tour of the Mezquita-Catedral, where a forest of columns, red-and-white arches, and Christian architecture come together to create a fascinating sight. Afterward, you’ll stroll through the Judería and past the white facades of the old town. Lunch will be served at a traditional patio filled with flowerpots and Andalusian flavors. Later, you’ll continue on to Granada.
Accompanied by a specialized private guide, you’ll explore the palaces and gardens of the Alhambra. You’ll look beyond the familiar silhouette and discover the symbolism, geometry, and stories behind Nasrid architecture. Afterward, you’ll sample various award-winning olive oils, paired with tapas and fresh produce from the market. In the evening, a table awaits you with a view of the illuminated palace complex.
You’ll drive through the Andalusian countryside to Ronda, spectacularly situated above the deep Guadalevín Gorge. At an organic vineyard, you’ll follow the journey from grape to cellar and taste four wines paired with pata negra, Payoyo cheese, olives, and products from the estate. Afterward, you’ll explore Old Ronda on a guided walking tour. Narrow streets and sweeping panoramic views alternate constantly.
The route to the Atlantic coast passes through Arcos de la Frontera. This white village perches on a limestone ridge, with steep streets and lookout points overlooking the Guadalete Valley. After enjoying a drink on a terrace with panoramic views, you’ll continue on to Cádiz. A local guide will introduce you to the Phoenician origins, colonial merchant houses, watchtowers, and golden dome of this ancient port city.
After one last look at the Atlantic Ocean, you’ll travel by private transfer to the port of Tarifa. There, you’ll board the ferry for the short crossing of the Strait of Gibraltar. The Spanish coast grows smaller, while the outlines of North Africa become clearer. After about an hour, you’ll dock in Tangier.
A local guide will introduce you to the multi-layered cityscape of Tangier. In the afternoon, you’ll follow the coast to Asilah, a walled town with blue-and-white facades, small galleries, and colorful murals. The Portuguese city walls run along the ocean and give the medina a distinctly maritime character. At the end of the day, you’ll return to Tangier.
Today you’ll travel inland to Chefchaouen. The medina climbs up the mountainside, with its colors constantly shifting between powder blue, indigo, and bright white. You’ll stroll through narrow alleys past bakeries with fresh bread, small workshops, and the kasbah in the center. From the higher parts of the city, you’ll look out over the rooftops and the mountains of the Rif.
In the morning, you’ll head to the Akchour Valley, nestled within Talassemtane National Park. The hiking trail winds through the forest and past natural pools, leading to waterfalls and the Pont de Dieu rock arch. Along the way, you’ll enjoy a tajine for lunch, prepared over a wood fire. In the late afternoon, you’ll continue on to the Atlantic coast near Larache.
You’re free to spend these two days however you like. Hike through the dunes to the beach, go for a horseback ride, or take a walk through the hills behind the coast. A cooking workshop, wellness ritual, or sunset picnic can be customized and added to your stay. The Atlantic Ocean provides the backdrop for every moment.
After breakfast, you’ll leave the coast of Larache. A private transfer will take you back to the Tangier airport. During the ride, you’ll see the landscape shift one last time from dunes and farmland to the hills surrounding the city. This marks the end of your journey through Andalusia and Northern Morocco.
