Itinerary

  • Your first encounter with Sicily begins in Palermo. A city of contrasts, where stately palaces and lively streets coexist side by side. You’ll stroll past Baroque churches, elegant squares, and historic markets where the aroma of street food wafts through the air. Vespas whiz by, locals chat animatedly on terraces, and around every corner, another bit of Sicilian charm awaits. The perfect moment to dive right into Sicilian life.

During your tour, you’ll visit the impressive Palatine Chapel and the Arab-Norman cathedral, among other sights. In Monreale, one of Italy’s most beautiful cathedrals awaits, adorned with thousands of Byzantine mosaics that sparkle in the sunlight. Afterward, it’s wonderful to settle down on a sunny terrace for an espresso or aperitivo while Palermo slowly comes to life.

  • You drive toward Segesta, where an imposing Greek temple comes into view amidst the rolling hills. A short while later, you’ll arrive at Selinunte, one of the island’s most impressive archaeological sites. Ancient temples here overlook the deep-blue sea, lending the place an almost cinematic atmosphere. It’s as if you’ve stepped into an Italian film for a moment.

In Sciacca, you’ll discover a charming coastal town with colorful streets, pottery workshops, and a bustling fishing harbor where the scent of fresh fish and sea salt fills the air. Then it’s time to relax by the sea. A day by the pool, a leisurely lunch overlooking the Mediterranean, or a visit to the spa offer a delightful change of pace during your trip. The ultimate vacation feeling.

  • In Agrigento, you can stroll through the legendary Valley of the Temples. The impressive Doric columns and ancient ruins are one of Sicily’s absolute highlights. Especially in the warm evening light, this place takes on an almost magical atmosphere. Golden hues, long shadows, and views that linger in your memory.

Then the scenery changes completely. Mount Etna dominates the landscape with black lava fields and impressive craters. You drive higher and higher up the volcano, past rugged landscapes that feel almost otherworldly. Spectacular! Along the way, you’ll taste Sicilian wines on the slopes of Mount Etna, and the day ends in elegant Taormina. Think boutiques, charming streets, and terraces overlooking the sea. You’ll spontaneously want to linger here a little longer.

Syracuse and the charming island of Ortigia also offer a completely different atmosphere. Small squares, cozy restaurants, and historic facades create a delightful blend of culture and Southern Italian charm. Perfect for long summer evenings with fresh pasta and a good glass of wine.

  • Those who choose to extend their trip to southern Sicily will discover an even more refined part of the island. Noto charms visitors with its golden Baroque architecture and elegant squares, where the sunlight reflects beautifully off the facades. It’s picture-perfect down to the smallest detail.

Ragusa and Modica take you to the heart of Sicilian Baroque. You’ll get lost in narrow alleys, discover hidden churches, and sample Modica’s famous chocolate during a workshop with local chocolatiers. Delicious!

The last day is all about enjoying the seaside. Marina di Ragusa exudes summer. Imagine a leisurely lunch by the water, a final stroll along the promenade, and aperitifs as the sun slowly dips into the sea. It’s one of those moments when you realize why Sicily is so addictive.
